New Home Stadium is actually No Home Stadium rebadged as the K’s moved to Kingsmeadow. The fanzine would later become The Searcher, an obscure in joke that would get them banned from the ground. We join our heroes full of hope in August 1989 with lines such as “Maurice sis revealed, as the camera pans out, lumbering to the edge offthe boxin achase just too apathetic to be termed half-hearted”. It’s a fanzine classic

This is a terrific fanzine with some brilliant writing and more importantly terrifically bad photos of various things but most importantly FLOODLIGHTS. You can see what I mean from the cover, even looking at the actual zine here on my desk they’re hard to spot. Sadly Kingstonian are no longer at the ground, thrown out by Chelsea in 2017 it is now used by Chelsea Women and the men’s U21 side.

It gets “better” though as the zine name change is revealed to be in celebration of the new ground…with another amazing centre spread of terrible photography including a 1980s panorama (two photos badly stuck together)

More you say? Why yes, there is more. In a “celebratory” article about former player Maurice Cox there is perhaps the best photo of all. No idea where it’s from, can’t make much out but I think that is a floodlight pylon in the background so it’s in. I’ve included the 2 page spread of it because you can see the very badly copied/folded nature of the fanzine. I love it.
